What made you decide to join Mudville?
I had originally heard of the program from my high school teammate and friend Max
Thomas. He talked to me about trying out for Mudville so I did.

What can you say about the Mudville coaching staff?
My first experience with the coaches of Mudville was a tryout. They were very nice and
seemed very knowledgeable about baseball. During the pitching part of my tryout
Coach Boyd changed my front leg movement and the angle of my hips. I was then
pitching faster.

What’s your first memory of Mudville?
Before my state semifinal game this summer, I saw Mudville play Toyota in a semifinal
game. Mudville came back and won in the last inning to play in the championship. It
seemed as if the players played well together as a team.

What do you love most about the sport of baseball?
Teamwork and friendship. I enjoy the wins but also appreciate learning from the losses.
What I like most is the single battle that happens between pitcher and batter.

If you weren’t playing baseball, what sport(s) would you be playing?
Golf, Basketball

What kinds of things do you like to do away from the field?
I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing golf.

When you attend college, what do you intend to major in and why?
I haven't thought a lot about what I want to major in. I haven't looked into anything in
detail to make any decisions. But I do very well in school especially in math and

If baseball doesn’t work out, what do you aspire to do after college?
I don't know yet what I want to become, but math and science interest me a lot.

Are you involved in the community? If so, what have you done?
I have done small community service activities for my school and National Honors
Society. I have also volunteered for our Rotary Auction.

Do you have any high school teammates, current or former, who will or already play college baseball? And where?
Yes. Spencer Hogger is playing for Redlands. Zander Silverman is playing for
Occidental. Will Houser is playing for a school in Texas.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given and by whom?
Success is measured by your effort, more effort equals more success which leads to
self improvement. My Dad.

Do you have any pre-game superstitions? If so, what are they?

What number have you worn in high school? Does it have any significance to you?
9, no reason.

If you could meet any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
Jesus, Leonardo DaVinci, Abraham Lincoln

If you could visit one country you’ve never been to, what would that be and why?
Greece to experience the food, culture, and history.

What’s the most important thing fans should know about you?
I want to do my best and I’m thankful that they’re there giving support
