Bellevue, WA - David Becker went 2-3 as Mudville (19-10) took home a 5-1 victory over Honda in seven innings at Bannerwood on Saturday. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
John Pomeroy pitched lights out for Pinnacle. Honda managed just two hits off of the Mudville pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked six and struck out four during his five innings of work.
The game was never in doubt after the second, as Mudville scored three runs on a sacrifice fly by Mack Gaul, an RBI single by Adam Hinthorne, and a wild pitch. The lone run of the game for Honda crossed the plate in the third inning on a wild pitch. Mudville added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. A error scored Will Hall to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up with a steal of home by David.
