Washington, DC – A longtime Mudville alum and The Overlake School graduate is in his third year at Georgetown University as an infielder for the Hoyas. Danny played for five seasons and is the first Mudville player to play in the Big East Conference.

What made you decide to join Mudville?
Great reviews from friends about the coaches and the players. Not only was I impressed by the players’ skills and the coaches’ knowledge, but the quality of people in the program was second to none. Seemed like a great chance for me.
What can you say about the Mudville coaching staff?
You won’t find better coaches or teachers. The resources they have open doors for their players and they know how to create a great atmosphere in which you can learn and enjoy the game of baseball.
What’s your first memory of Mudville?
Travelling to Cooperstown, New York… One of the best baseball experiences I have ever been apart of.
What do you love most about the sport of baseball?
Anything can happen.
If you weren’t playing baseball, what sport(s) would you be playing?
Basketball.
What kinds of things do you like to do away from the field?
I love spending time on any body of water during a summer day and I love going to concerts.
When you attend college, what do you intend to major in and why?
I attend Georgetown University and I am majoring in Marketing. I chose this major because it will help me better understand how individuals throughout the world create and promote different products and ideas.
If baseball doesn’t work out, what do you aspire to do after college?
Dream job would be to work in marketing and promotions for Children’s Hospital.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given and by whom?
Too many to choose from, one of my favorites is from Jeff Cirillo, “Throw a piece of gum in and go out on the field knowing you’re the best guy out there. The only person who can stop you is yourself.”
Do you have any pre-game superstitions? If so, what are they?
No.
What number have you worn in high school? Does it have any significance to you?
Wore number 4 for no reason.
If you could meet any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
Lance Armstrong, Magic Johnson, Steve Jobs
If you could visit one country you’ve never been to, what would that be and why?
I would go to Chile to go skiing.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Ken Griffey Jr.
What is your favorite baseball team?
Seattle Mariners.
What sporting event would you most like to see?
Either NCAA Basketball Tournament or World Cup Soccer
What’s the most important thing fans should know about you?
I am going to play until I physically can't or I am dragged off in handcuffs.
