Pinnacle Places 5th at 2010 Cardinal Classic!

Jordan Richartz Paced Mudville with a 2 for 2, HBP, 3 SB Performance

Bellevue, WA - Pinnacle (11-4, 5-3) finished 5th in the 2010 Cardinal Classic at Bannerwood Sports Field.  The Muddies played an inspired game beating RIPS Brewers for the second time this year, 4-1. Mudville was the reigning 2009 Cardinal Classic Finalist sponsored by the Wikinson Academy.

After losing to Toyota in a lackluster performance the evening before, Mudville's Patrick Vandergrift, Nat Townsend and Ryan Gillespie kept Brewer hitters off-balanced with a combined 3-hitter.  Pinnacle's offense was paced by Jordan Richartz with his 2 for 2, HBP, 3 SB performance. Dan McMillan 5th inning single keyed the Muddies 4-run, 5th inning.  George Jiranek went 1-3 and 2 RBI effort.  Cam Wilson's single keyed the rally which tied the game and eventaully scored on Jiranke's single.

Pinnacle's defense also shined with a Richartz diving catch in RC to snub a Brewer rally, 1B Pete Summerville relay to nail a Brewer runner at 3rd and an unassisted double play by 2B Evan Thompson.
