Tulsa, OK - Mudville Pinnacle (42-16, 4-1-1) won two loser’s bracket games defeating the Norman North Baseball Club of Oklahoma, 8-0 in six innings, and 4-1 over the Kansas Topeka Stars.  

In Game #1, Seafth Howe pitched five scoreless innings of five hit ball, added by one inning of Patrick Vandergrift relief as Mudville’s bats came alive to mercy run Norman late in the game.  Pinnacle wrapped the order in the fourth with five runs and then added a run in the fifth and sixth to end the game.  Mudville had only five hits but were aided with nine walks and a hit batsman to seal the deal.

In Game #2, Colton Bielaski pitched a seven inning gem, striking out ten, giving up only four hits and a walk.  The Kansas Stars only run came on a Topeka solo shot in the sixth inning.   Mudville’s defense was stellar as two runners were caught stealing and the infield added another double play to their tournament high seven double plays.  The Pinnacle offense was led by Centerfielder Jordan Richards and 1st baseman Matt Boyd each had 2 for 3 performances which featured back-to-back homeruns in th third inning by the duo.

Mudville has a rematch against Colorado’s Play Ball Sports tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM for the 3rd place game.
