RHP Robert Ward Wins 2nd Victory of the Season

Bellevue, WA - Robert Ward (2-0), Andrew Villeneuve and Seafth Howe pitched a combined 7-inning, 3-hit shutout as Pinnacle (8-1, 5-0) won their 7th straight game at Newport High School tonight. Mudville has started the Connie Mack WSBL season with a 5-0 record over the Mount Lake Terrace Hawks.

The trio combined for five strikeouts and faced only three Hawk hitters over the mininum with the help of two double plays by the stingy Muddie defense. Troy Perry and Troy Colyer each contributed two hits, with each tallying a double. They accounted for three of the five runs batted in. Danny Poplawski and Tommy Boguch each reached safely twice. Dave Coutrney drew two hit-by-pitches and scored in the fifth after his single.
